Booking, Deposits and Refund Policy
All studio bookings require at least a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve space. Full balance must be paid 7 days before date booked, no exceptions. Studio does not allow soft holds, which are temporary holds without a contract and deposit. No payments for studio space are allowed on the same day of shoot. If booking is paid in full and is canceled at least 12 business days before a shoot, 50% will be returned or shoot date can be rescheduled with a 15% rescheduling fee.
If booking is paid in full and canceled less than 12 days before a shoot only 25% will be refunded but it can be rescheduled for a 50% rescheduling fee. If shoot is paid in full and canceled 3 days or less before shoot, there will be no refunds. Studio requires that a valid credit card be kept on file which is used to charge any additional items approved by client (in paper or verbally).
Booking Call Time
The call time for bookings will be established before the shoot. Time for setup, shoot, lunch and breakdown are included within time scheduled. Any additional time used before or after the time scheduled is considered overtime and an additional charge will apply.
Access to Studio Area / Cyc Walls “as is”
Rentals include access parking spaces, studio space with a white cyc, black cyc and green screen, makeup / wardrobe room, kitchen area, 2 restrooms and green room. The cycs come in an “as is” condition, meaning there won’t be a fresh repaint on the floors unless it is ordered and paid for ahead of time. You are able to use all 3 walls at no additional cost. The walls themselves are always fine but the need for a repaint on the floor is up to the discretion of the client and if the condition needs to be pristine.. Offices in front of facility, including our conference, are not part of the studio.
Bookings with multiple days are able to leave items overnight. Studio does not allow for items to be dropped off the day before shoots unless a “pre-light” or setup time is booked.
Power
Studio Bookings have access of up to 10 (20 amp circuits), There is an additional 100amp 220v single phase cam lock power box available for an additional cost.
Equipment Rental
Clients that wish to use lighting, grip and flats from studio must book it in advance. Clients are asked to inspect equipment before signing off on it. If any equipment is damaged during shoot, studio will assess damage and charge credit card on file to repair or replace gear. Client is responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.
Overtime
There will be a charge of $175 for each additional hour booking goes overtime. Time scheduled includes load-in, shoot, lunch and load-out. If equipment is still up and running and crew is inside facility, overtime will be charged for each additional hour. You cannot increase a package on day of shoot and pay the difference. There are no refunds for unused time or equipment booked ahead of time.
For shoots with multiple days, booking works on a day-by-day basis. For example, if studio is booked for 5 consecutive days and goes overtime on any one of the days, it is still considered overtime as time does not roll over into the next day. Overtime must be paid with the credit card on file before crew exits facility and clock stops at time all crew have exited.
Remote Stage Managing
CML has a remote-managing system to keep costs low and avoid stage manager fees. This requires clients to call 305-600-6074 once they arrive outside of our location for their shoot for access into the location and detailed entry instructions.
Insurance
CML Studios carries full liability insurance which covers the facility. It only covers the studio in case of injury but does not cover the crew or equipment of clients. Production insurance is highly recommended but not required for smaller shoots.
